About us

Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Class of 2017 is a Hawaiʻi nonprofit corporation established to foster lifelong connections, service, leadership, and cultural stewardship among its alumni.

United by our shared experiences at Kamehameha Schools, we seek to carry forward the values, relationships, and sense of responsibility cultivated throughout our education. Our commitment extends beyond our graduating class, creating opportunities to support one another, strengthen the Kamehameha Schools community, and contribute meaningfully to the lāhui and broader public.

Through educational initiatives, cultural engagement, community service, and alumni collaboration, we aim to transform our shared foundation into a lasting legacy of collective impact.

Our Purpose

Our organization is dedicated to strengthening lifelong alumni connections while advancing charitable, educational, and cultural initiatives that benefit the communities we serve.

We envision an engaged alumni community that continues to learn, lead, collaborate, and serve long after graduation.

What We Do

Our organization is developing programs and initiatives across four areas:

Education & Leadership

Creating opportunities for mentorship, scholarships, professional networking, and educational workshops that support personal and professional development among alumni, students, and the broader community.

Cultural Stewardship

Supporting the perpetuation of ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, moʻomeheu Hawaiʻi, and Native Hawaiian values through educational programming, cultural experiences, and community partnerships.

Community Service

Organizing volunteer opportunities, outreach initiatives, and collaborative projects that address community needs and support charitable causes throughout Hawaiʻi and beyond.

Alumni Engagement

Strengthening relationships among classmates and the wider Kamehameha Schools community through gatherings, shared initiatives, communications, and opportunities for meaningful collaboration.

Our Commitment

Our time at Kamehameha Schools shaped more than our individual paths. It established a shared foundation of relationships, values, and responsibilities that continues to connect us.

As the Class of 2017 moves forward, our organization seeks to honor that foundation by creating opportunities to give back, uplift others, and contribute to a thriving lāhui for generations to come.
